Upstate NY Travels: Wine Country

For Memorial Day weekend, I had the privilege of spending a long weekend with my best friend for her bridal shower / bachelorette weekend!  I flew in from San Diego and she from Denver into the tiny airport that is Rochester (known as the ROC). We then drove down a seemingly endless supply of very scenic roads to the adorable lakefront cabin we would call home for the week. When we are not barbecuing lakeside, we were celebrating with a bridal shower brunch and bachelorette wine tour. While not my first time to the area, it was a fun revisit!

We had several stops at wineries along Keuka Lake, which is one of the eleven lakes that make up the Finger Lakes region. In addition to our tastings, we were also fortunate enough to take a tour at one of the most adorable vineyards that is completely unfazed by time and acclaim.

Overall I had a lovely weekend. We were blessed with surprisingly warm weather (mid 70s), clear skies and lovely wines! If you are ever in the area, I definitely recommend checking out the Bully Hill and Dr. Frank Wineries.
