Paul and I got back around midnight from the DR (post coming soon) and we immediately looked at the weekend weather forecast. We were pleased with the news: seventies and sunny!!! A perfect way to extend our holiday!
On Saturday we lounged, gardened, and watched the World Cup. We also snuck in a visit to Trader Joe’s for a proper fridge restock! Every time I visit a Trader’s I always wonder why its been so long since my last visit, and that’s probably because everything I read about Trader’s and experience first hand is wonderful, through and through.
On Sunday we walked around the city and revisited the Flea Market. I was delighted to see the return of my fav food truck! I got the largest iced coffee available along with two stamps (Paul got the lavender lemonade) on my loyalty card – holla! After the flea and a long walk, we worked up quite an appetite. We decided to stop off and get some falafel at East Side Pockets. Our lunch was cheap, fresh, and flavorful. Extra bonus – the game was on!!! While not my favorite, Pockets is definitely a do again. We finished our Sunday off with a yummy dinner and a toast to Argentina’s Messi!!!
